OUR League

WELCOME TO CENTRAL REGION VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE

The Central Region Volleyball League (CRVL) was founded in 1985 by a group of players belonging to teams within Lilongwe. It serves as the grassroots function for Volleyball Association of Malawi (VAM) and individually and collectively serve as a catalyst for VAM functions. Each Region is independently operated and is led by an elected Executive Committee which is headed by a Chairperson.

The League has 8 senior men and 8 senior ladies’ teams. But it is expanding and restructuring to allow up to 14 teams in each category from the 2024 season. It also has a 14-team junior (Category B) for men and ladies. We are currently setting up a youth league targeting primary schools in all the 73 constituencies of the Central Region.

Develop, Promote and effectively Govern Volleyball in the Central Region.

Provide opportunities for the youth to be active, be fit, and be healthy.
Remove economic barriers to participation in youth sport.
Bring our youth closer together through common interests in sportsmanship and competition.
Teach sportsmanship, teamwork and accountability; build character and discipline and love of sport.
Encourage the players to have respect for the game, others, and themselves.
